1961
Company formed by the late David Bond operating single engined Hiller series helicopter and Piper Pawnee fixed wing aircraft.
1966
Management Aviation formed by the late David Bond operating single engined Hiller series helicopter and Piper Pawnee fixed wing aircraft.
1973
The Company introduces the world’s first light twin-engined helicopter, BO105, in support of North Sea and Lighthouse Operations.

1975
Due to North Sea expansion, the Company introduces medium category S58Ts to fleet.
1978
The Company introduces heavy category S61N helicopter to fleet in support of Offshore Operations.
1979
The Company introduces new generation AS365 series Dauphin helicopters for short to medium range North Sea shuttle operation.
1980
The Company introduces new generation 12-seat S76A helicopter to its fleet in support of medium to long-range operations.
1983
The Company introduces new generation AS332L Super Puma heavy-category helicopters to support North Sea Offshore Operations from Aberdeen. These aircraft replaced the old technology S61NS.
1984
The Company is rebranded Bond Helicopters Limited.
1987
Bond introduces UK’s first dedicated Air Ambulance operation based in Cornwall.
1991
A new division, Bond Air Services, is formed to handle the Company’s light twin operations, for example air ambulances, lighthouses, etc.
1993
Bond introduces further twin engined Bell and Sikorsky helicopters.
1994
Bond expands internationally in Australia and South East Asia with acquisition of Lloyd Helicopters with its large fleet of single and twin equipped Bell and Sikorsky helicopters.
1996
Bond with its fleet of 91 aircraft merges with Norway’s Helikopter Services to form the world’s largest helicopter operating group: the Helikopter Services Group – HSG.
1999
Stephen and Peter Bond purchase the Bond Air Services division from HSG in July. In August, HSG taken over by the Canadian group – CHC.
2000
Bond Air Services signs contract with Eurocopter to purchase 15 new-generation EC135 helicopters with the first two delivered later that year.
2004
Bond Air Services’s sister company, Bond Offshore, commences offshore North Sea support operations with five AS332L2 Super Puma helicopters.
2005
Bond introduces the world’s first 6 Axis Level 3 EC135 simulator.
2006
Bond re-awarded Strathclyde Police Air Support operation.
2010
Bond return to Ireland and commence crew change operations on behalf of Kinsale Energy to the Marathon Gas Field utilising an EC135T2i.
2010
Operations for the UK's first offshore wind farm helicopter support contract get underway operating a winch equipped EC135T2i from a purpose built facility in Lowestoft.
